After an application for Personal Plan coverage has been made, when do insurance products become effective?

Life and disability plans require evidence of insurability—also known as evidence of good health—and will be effective on the date of approval. This process can take up to eight weeks while required information is collected and reviewed.

Dental, accidental death and dismemberment, and/or personal accident coverage are effective the day the application is received by GuideStone, regardless of underwriting requirements for life and disability coverage.

Medical plans become effective on date of qualifying event or on date of approval of Evidence of Good Heath, if required.
