What is the Low Income Subsidy?

The Low Income Subsidy (Extra Help) is a feature of the Medicare Part D legislation that allows Medicare participants who meet specific eligibility and income criteria to receive prescription drug benefits at a discounted rate or free of charge.

Contact Center for Medicare Services for the current eligibility requirements for the Low Income Subsidy at 1-800-Medicare or Medicare.gov.

Participants who qualify for this subsidy will be given an opportunity to enroll in a GuideStone Medicare-coordinating plan without the prescription benefits included.
