Who is eligible to open a Roth IRA?

You are eligible to open a Roth IRA if you receive U.S. earned taxable income and your modified adjusted gross income is below the limits set by law. Individuals whose modified adjusted gross income falls between the limits below may be eligible to make reduced contributions. There is no age limit applicable to contribute to a Roth IRA. 

Married, filing joint tax return: $218,000 to $227,999 for 2023 and $230,000 to $239,999 for 2024.

Married, filing separate tax returns: $0 to $10,000 for all tax years.

Single: $138,000 to $152,999 for 2023 and $146,000 to $160,999 for 2024.
