What are the waiting periods for my dental insurance?

Based on your effective date of coverage, you may be required to satisfy a waiting period before certain non-preventive services are eligible for benefits. Contact Cigna before you receive treatment to determine if a waiting period applies to your service.

Premier Dental Care Plans and Choice Dental Care Plans

  • Six months — Endodontic services, denture adjustments and, for children under 16 years of age, stainless steel or plastic crowns
  • 12 months — Complex oral surgery, periodontics services or orthodontic services
