To add your newly acquired dependent through marriage, birth, adoption or placement in the home for adoption to your personal plan, you will need to contact GuideStone within 60 days from acquisition date. Their effective date on the plan will be backdated to the date of special event. You can do so by emailing us at insurance@guidestone.org, or you can call us directly at 1-844-467-4843 anytime between 7am to 6pm CST Monday through Friday. 

If the special enrollment even for birth or adoption has surpassed the 60 day window, we can add them to medical coverage without underwriting if they are 19 years old or younger. If they are older than 19, you may apply to add them at anytime as long as your employer has 10 or fewer employees on staff.
