Mid-year changes are generally not permitted unless the change is made within the employers' allotted time frame (which ranges from 30 to 60 days in most cases) of one of the following special enrollment events:
- Birth/adoption/placement for adoption
- Continuation of group coverage by an individual
- New employment
- Loss of eligibility (See Eligibility section of your plan booklet)
Medical and dental plan changes are allowed during re-enrollment each fall. Your new plan(s) will be effective the following January 1.
